Sollamale (1998) Tamil: Sollamale is a 1998 Tamil romantic drama film directed by Sasi, who made his directorial debut with the film. Livingston and Kausalya star in the film, while Anand, Prakash Raj and Karan play supporting roles. The film was released in July 1998 to positive reviews and was a success at the box office. It was followed by the Telugu remake of Seenu (1998) starring Venkatesh and Twinkle Khanna, and the Hindi remake of Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai (2002), starring Govinda and Rani Mukerji. The success of the film made the producer think of remaking Hindi with Kajol in the female lead, even though the project never materialised.
